We watch the dusk fade into darkness,
A thousand voices distorted in the distance we grow between us, we still can't find the answer.

The words of wisdom from politicians echoing down the megaphone, the crowd that gathers, their faith in tatters for still they have no answer.

The dry excuses are soaked with sorrow, the treason May now reveal its sins, the guilt is lurking, we'll keep on working until we find our answer.

We used to fly our British flags with endless pride,
But now we watch the news and see our taxes rise,
With generations fighting and rich against the poor,
We're lined up with our backs against the walls,

We watch the dusk fade into darkness, our walls graffitied with enmity, the pound declining, our leaders signing the documents that divide us.

The tide is rising in a bald tsunami racing towards our seashores, our former allies now foreign enemies laughing in our faces,

We used to fly our British flag with endless pride,
But now we watch the news and see our taxes rise,
With generations fighting and rich against the poor,
We're lined up with our backs against the walls,

And the bricks are falling, and the curtain's calling,
We hardly need our eyes to see that the sun has nearly set and we're blinded by regret.
